The best news ever. It was such a fun time and you KILLED that race. I guess you’ll be coming home in February 2016. So proud of you. Love you so much. MOM
Putting an estimated finish time is such an interesting feeling! It’s a mixture of “let’s DO THIS, gauntlet THROWN!” and “holy crap, what am I getting myself into?” When I signed up for half marathon #2, it was 6 months before I even ran half marathon #1. I think I put something super conservative like 2:20. I had no idea how fast I could run 13.1 at that point!
That’s awesome that you’re signed up again for next year! If you keep training and working hard, I think shaving 10 mins off your time in one year is very doable!
Yeah. Right now, 1:45 sounds impossible. The main reason I put that though was because the pace group below the one I ran with this year is 1:45. I figured that since I enjoyed being with the 2:00 pace group so much that I might be able to handle being with the 1:45. I think I would have trouble pacing myself to that time. However, a lot can happen in a year.
I think I put 2:15 for my anticipated time for this race. haha. Apparently I was playing it conservative too.
Congrats! You’re not crazy! And you rocked that half marathon!! That’s an awesome first-timer’s performance!
