My last two days have been pretty crazy. Yesterday, I went to the doctor to have them look at a cyst in my right wrist, and they were just like… “yeah, we’re gonna take that thing out”. After a bit of a traumatic procedure (there were lots of needles involved), they removed it and sent me on my way. Hopefully the swelling will go down and I can get back to my yoga practice soon.
Today was rather exciting too:
I haven’t signed up yet, and I have a few days to think about it. My family is super excited and really wants to come and cheer me on. I think it would be a great first marathon for me, since I do love the crowds at races. It would also be a nice way to say “good-bye” to area that I’ve called home for the last five years. I’ve been going back and forth all day.
Well, given the state of my hand, I’m gonna keep things short. Good luck to anyone still waiting to hear on their lottery application!
DO IT!!! #peerpressure 🙂

Oh, was your cyst a ganglion? I had one of those in my ankle and it was annoying! I hope your wrist heals soon.
It would be cool if you ran Chicago! It would be fun to have another runner friend to track!

Yeah, it was. It was starting to hurt me a lot, so I wanted it gone. It still hurts though. lol

Congratulations on Chicago!! What, exactly, are the “cons” of this decision again? 🙂
Sorry about your cyst issue, as if you didn’t already have enough to deal with during your big move! Hang in there girly

I don’t know. I guess the grueling pain of running 26.2. Actually, I’m more worried about the 20 miler training runs. The crowds are always good for getting me through some miles that I don’t want to do. But I am doing it. I just (like 2 min ago) pressed the button to submit my (big fat) payment.
Eh, the cyst should have been dealt with a while ago. It’s been getting in the way of my yoga practice big time, and recently started getting in the way of things at work.

Yay so glad you decided to do it! The 20 milers are not fun, but getting through them is part of what makes crossing that finish line so rewarding. Plus, you will have lots of e-training buddies to suffer with you…I mean, cheer you on!…this summer 🙂
